A few clicks of my Guru pt.Jai Kishan Maharaj, performing his the most famous ghat bhaav – Makhan chori (a short story told only through the art of abhinaya – mimic and gestures- depicting little Lord Krishna stealing the butter from gopis). The elder son of Pt. Birju Maharaj gained a mastery in changing himself into little, plump, very naughty boy. Proving that Kathak is not only the art of rythom and grace, but the one of story telling.
